2000 GMC Sierra
The exterior of the vehicle underwent an inspection for cosmetic concerns and operational functionality. Minor miscellaneous scratches were noted around the vehicle, with most being too small to be visible in photos. The paint exhibited some signs of wear, and areas of surface rust were observed on the underside. The window trim and door seals were found to be in good condition. The glass showed no apparent damage, and the windshield wiper/washer operated correctly. Both the headlights and tail lights were clear and devoid of any noticeable cracks or damage. Panel gaps and shut lines appeared to be within normal.
During the inspection of the interior, light wear was observed on the seats, along with one ash burn on the bottom of the driver's seat. The inner door panels displayed signs of wear, while the interior trim exhibited normal wear. Both exterior mirrors had one direction out of four where the glass did not move from the switch; however, the glass could be manually adjusted and remained in position without any issues. A notification for changing the engine oil was displayed on the dashboard. Floor mats were not present in the vehicle during the inspection. The blower motor emitted a humming noise when in operation, and there were no signs of smoke or unusual odors.
The engine bay and undercarriage components were visually inspected for leakage, deterioration, and fluid conditions. Accessible fluids were found to be at their proper levels and exhibited a healthy color. No indications of leaks or seepages were detected underneath the vehicle. The exhaust displayed some light surface rust overall, but currently, there are no leaks, and it sounds good.
During the test drive, the vehicle started up without any issues or unusual sounds. However, the clutch exhibited some noise between 1st and 2nd gear, indicating the need for further diagnosis. The steering wheel showed slight play from left to right. An examination of the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) showed no current, pending, or historic fault codes.
The tires were evaluated for tread depth and any abnormal wear patterns. All four tires were identified as being the same brand, with the rear right tire showing a remaining tread depth of 6/32, the rear left tire at 7/32, and both front tires at 9/32. Additionally, there were some scratches observed on the wheels.
