1986 Toyota4 runner

The exterior underwent examination for cosmetic issues and functionality. Despite appearing dusty during inspection, minor imperfections were still noticeable, including miscellaneous scratches on the front bumper, hood panels, and rear bumper. Additionally, the vehicle exhibited minor dings and dents around the body. Signs of wear and oxidation were evident in the paint, particularly on the faded roof. Surface rust was observed underneath. The door mirror housings showed scratches, with the attached rubber displaying wear and missing sections. Furthermore, the rear windshield rubber appeared slightly detached in the middle. Paint chips were visible on the hood's leading edge. Moreover, some seals exhibited cracking and weathering, indicating the need for replacement. Overall, the wipers and exterior lights functioned properly.

During the inspection, several observations were made inside the vehicle. The sun visors exhibit signs of wear and tear, while the horn was found to be non-functional. Additionally, there is light wear on the seats, with a small burnt mark noticed on the front left seat. Cracks on the dashboard were observed, likely due to age and mileage. The carpet shows typical wear consistent with the vehicle's age and mileage. Notably, the rear trunk side light was found to be non-operational during the inspection. On a positive note, the air conditioning system blows very cold air, and both the spare tire and jack are present in the vehicle. Furthermore, the door windows operate smoothly, and there were no indications of smoke or unusual odors.

Undercarriage and engine bay components were visually inspected for leaks, deterioration, and fluid conditions. The oil is fresh and at the proper level, showing no signs of excess moisture or sludge. However, there's evidence of fluid seepage from the rear differential. Fasteners in the engine bay are intact, and hoses, belts, axle boots, and bushings seem sound. Yet, there's minor surface rust on parts of the exhaust.

During the test drive, the vehicle started promptly without hesitation. It idled smoothly, with no noticeable exhaust smoke or engine knocking. Throughout the 8-mile road test, we smoothly reached highway speeds. Gears shifted seamlessly without jerking or thunking, and the suspension system exhibited no shakes or wobbles. Brakes functioned properly, with no grinding or squeaking observed. The throttle response was responsive, providing a smooth and comfortable ride.

The tread depth and wear patterns of all four tires were assessed. They are of the same brand and have adequate remaining tread depth. However, signs of corrosion are evident on both front wheels, and scratches are present on the right side, as well as on the rear left wheel.
