SUMMARY

1985 BMW 318i
On the exterior body there are minor misc of scratches around the vehicle. The underside shows areas of surface rust. The blinkers work erractley and the fog lights do not work and further diagnostics is needed. The front bumper shows signs of repaint with imperfections as well. I inspected all of the wheels and they all show some corrosion and scratches. I measured all of the tire tread depths and found all of the tires have 8 32nds left on each tire. The rear tires also show dry rot.

Interior
I noted in the report there were no abnormal odors or scents found. I examined the interior and the seats show wear and the inner door panels show wear. The interior trim shows some wear and the E brake handle is cracked and twisted and shows wear. The window switches are showing cosmetic wear from use. Inspection light is lit up on the gauge cluster and further diagnostic is needed. The master switch is not operating the passenger window and further diagnostics is needed. All four windows go up and down slowly due to the age of the window motors and wear. The dashboard shows wear and the glove box handle is broken. The gauge cluster miles do not working meaning it does not track new miles when driven. The AC is not blowing cold and the compressor did not turn on. The AC system is not functioning. Further diagnosis is necessary.

Mechanical
The charging system does not appear to be functioning. There are many items that can cause this. Further diagnosis is needed. The engine is seeping some oil from the underside. There were no drips at time of inspection. This area should be cleaned off and rechecked to verify source of leak or leaks. I inspected the drive belt and pulley system and there were no issues found.I inspected all accessible fluids and they are at their recommended levels.

Road Test Complete
The engine idle surges up and down while at idle and further diagnostics is needed. The clutch pedal is grabbing higher then it should and this is showing signs of a worn clutch further diagnostics is needed. The suspension has excessive bounce when going over bumps and further diagnostics is needed. There were no brake sounds heard while driving the vehicle.
