2015 Ford Mustang
Exterior condition:
I observed that the rear tire was modified from the standard size of 275/35R20 to 305/35ZR20. I noted that the tires were matched by brand. The tires have an appropriate tread depth. The windshield wipers and washer functioned properly. Window and door seals is intact. Panel gaps between the front and rear bumpers and quarter panels looked normal, as did shut lines between the hood, doors, and surrounding panels. The door soft close feature worked properly. Notably, there were no dents and paint condition is good.
Interior condition:
I noted that the seats were clean with no tears or rips. I tested the extensive seat features throughout the vehicle and found no obvious faults. There were no indications of smoke or unusual odors. Climate control and radio/navigation systems appeared to function properly. All essential features, including windows, locks, mirrors, and gauges, operated properly.
Mechanical condition:
I saw that the oil is fresh and at the proper level, with no signs of excessive moisture or sludge under the oil fill cap. The exhaust exhibits some minor surface rust, but currently, there are no leaks, and it sounds good. Brake and power steering fluid levels appeared appropriate, and the coolant had the correct color, with no leaks noted in the system. There was no burning oil smell in the engine compartment after running the vehicle. Fasteners in the engine bay appeared generally intact and in place. Hoses, belts, axle boots, and visible bushings appeared sound. No obvious leaks were noted from the transmission. Upon arrival, I found the battery to be dead. Vehicle had to be jump started to get it running. The battery should be put on a charger to see if it accepts a full charge. If it does not accept a full charge, the battery will need to be replaced. Exhaust shows some minor surface rust, but at this time has no leaks and sounds good.
Road Test:
A scan of the ECU found two pending codes. See pictures of more descriptive information. More diagnoses is needed. The vehicle started and idled normally. During warm-up, there was no excessive smoke or steam emission. I test drove the vehicle and the ride, acceleration, and handling felt normal. The engine was smooth and responsive. The transmission worked as designed without issues and the brakes exhibited firmness, with no noticeable pulsation.
