This 2003 Honda Element 4WD EX Auto is in good driving condition with a decent number of flaws. There are no obvious signs of a previous repair due to an accident or flooding.

Exterior

The windshield wiper blades are worn and need to be replaced. There are misc scratches around the vehicle, some are more noticeable than others. See photos. The vehicle shows minor miscellaneous dings around the body. See photos. There is a dent on the left quarter of the vehicle. The paint shows some wear and tear that is consistent with age and mileage. The vehicle has rust on the frame and chassis rails. There is also rust on the rear door catches. There are scuffs on the right side and an embossed point on the left side of the front bumper. There are small impacts on rear bumper. The black is greying out which is consistent with the age and mileage of the vehicle. The windshield has a chip and will need to be replaced or repaired. The rear tires are very worn and will need to be replaced.

Interior

I was not able to get cruise control to engage. Further diagnosis is required. The seats show moderate wear, especially the driver's seat. The inner door panels show wear consistent with age and mileage. When first opening the hood there was a small of coolant indicating a possible spill or leak. Further diagnosis required. The headliner shows miscellaneous smudge marks from normal use. The gauges did not work for half the test drive and then came on. The problem will need to be looked into and repaired.

Test Drive

The start up was weak when the vehicle was first started up. Further diagnosis required to verify what is causing a weak start up. The engine had plenty of power and there were no misfires or excessive smoking while driving. The transmission shifted as designed with no harsh engagement or slipping. The steering was responsive and the suspension was firm and the vehicle handled well. There were no abnormal vibrations or odd noises. There appears to be no visible indication any fluids leaking but as stated earlier there was a smell of coolant when the hood was opened. The brakes were firm with no pulsation felt. I hooked up my Scan Tool to the computer system and found no current or pending codes. All of the live data looked good with no issues reported. See below and pictures for more info.
