SUMMARY

This Mustang is in good running and driving condition with some flaws worthy of note. This car is considered to be a nice driver quality vehicle and not quite a show car.

Exterior

The hood, doors, trunk lid, and bumpers are ever so slightly misaligned. There is one ding on the hood. The vehicle repaint shows dust under the paint, some orange peel, and signs of poor prep. This is sub-par workmanship. I used a paint meter on all exterior body panels and found the readings to vary slightly but on the lower end of the scale suggesting only light skim coating use and no heavy filler areas found.

Interior

The clock does not work. There radio is not working and has added 8 track player. There is some damage to the lower part of the right inner door panel. The sill plates are dinged. The original interior trim shows minor wear with age. The blend door appears to be failing. This is located in the dash and changes the air-flow to the vents, floor or windshield. This will need further diagnosis and repairs. It can be an expensive repair.

Test Drive

The engine had plenty of power and there were no misfires or excessive smoking. The transmission shifted as designed with no harsh engagement or slipping. The steering was responsive and the suspension was firm and the vehicle handled well. There were no abnormal vibrations or odd noises. The brakes were firm with no pulsation felt. There were no leaks found to the underside of the vehicle. I hooked up my Scan Tool to the computer system and found no current or pending codes.
