Overall condition of this 2006 Ford F250 is decent but has some issues of note. There were no signs or indications of previously repaired crash damage or repaint that was noted. This truck has wear and uses present but no signs of hard use or abuse that were found.
The overall exterior is clean and looks good. Body lines and panel gaps are consistent and even. Minor paint chips on the hood and forward areas of the front fenders were noted but overall fit and finish are good. No exterior body rust was noted.
The interior is clean and in good condition as well. Wear is present on the driver's seat both lower and upper cushions and side bolsters. Wear is consistent with the truck's age. See photos. No damage, stains or odors were noted.
The underbody and chassis have minor to moderate rust and corrosion present. This is more rust then I would like to see. See pics for this. Rust level is consistent with vehicles that are driven in winter climates where road salt is used.
The test drive was very good. The 5.4 V8 engine started promptly and idled smoothly. No abnormal engine noises were heard. No abnormal exhaust smoke was noted. Acceleration and performance were good. The transmission and 4x4 system appeared to work correctly. The front lock out hubs is frozen and inoperable. The steering and brake systems operated as expected, no issues were noted.
All of the truck's options and features appeared to work correctly, except for the following issues: The hood safety latch was difficult to release, likely needs to be lubricated. I hooked up my computer and found a powertrain code P0420, catalyst efficiency issue. This is an emissions issue. The vehicle will not pass emissions at this time. This will need further diagnosis and repairs
The left rear passenger door was difficult to release from the release in the jamb and lastly, there is cracking developing in between the tire treads or all 4 tires. This is dry-rot.
This is a decent looking and running vehicle that shows rusting to the underside. See below and pics for more info.
